Who was Socrates

Socrates was one of the most important figures of world philosophy world.

All we know of him, his politics, society and religious issues, comes from the writings of his students, as Socrates himself never wrote a thing!

He gave lessons everywhere in the city but

did not get paid. The

Athenians considered his teaching disturbed the young and as a result, he was taken to court.

He was imprisoned and he did not try or want to escape, though he had the chance.

The Athenians condemned him to death. Socrates accepted the charge, drank hemlock (poison) and dies. But in history, he lives on.
