How to go to Spetses island?
From villa Thalia, you can see Spetses island shine (especially at night) as a precious jewel. As you are reaching the island (by boat) the traditional architecture will capture your senses.
No cars are allowed so you can walk, rent a bicycle or you can get the
horse carriage for a more romantic ride of the island.
In Posidonio Hotel, which first opened in 1914, you can take a look at the gallery of modern art or enjoy the multiple award-winning restaurant On the Verandah.
Along the numerous paths of the island, you will find shops with souvenirs, colorful pareos, leather sandals & and summer accessories. There are plenty of fish taverns, restaurants, cocktail bars and clubs.

The most important annual festival on Spetses is Armada, which extends over the second week of September. It is the anniversary of the Spetses naval battle of the 1821 revolution. Real ships are used, in order to be burnt in the sea among a massive firework display. Don’t miss it!
How to get there:
From Costa with a boat departing every half hour (18.30-19.30 etc) from Costa and every o’ clock from Dapia. (until 24.00)
From Κosta with a water taxi to Dapia. Υou can walk from Dapia to the Old Port. (15min) On your way, you will meet many taverns and bars that are located on the sea. Make sure that you get the taxi driver’s number just in case there are none at the Old Port. (It is a different price, ask them before) Ladies remember to wear flat shoes.
