Summer Solstice IX

You spoke of things they did not see

and they laughed.

But you row the dark river
upon the waters;
you take the unknown road
blindly, stubborn
and search for deeprooted words
like a multiknotted olive tree –

let them laugh.
And you may crave to inhabit another world
in daily stifling loneliness
in this obliterated now –
Let them be.

The sea winds and the dew at dawn
are there with no one asking.
